Reflection 9 & 10 – Jason Hui

Starting off with week 9 and 10, they talk about advertising, public advocacy campaigns blended in with social medias. There was one video called “Versus Virtual Fitness Trainer – Exergame Fitness”, it shows how future gyms will look like and how they work efficiently with a person.  Technology is being innovative and Exergame Fitness are thinking of ways to evolve fitness equipment. The design of the equipment is where there’s a screen you can look at and see what to do as the machine instructs you to do several exercises. The equipment has a virtual fitness trainer that gives tips and instructions of a varies exercises. The trainer also records the rep count and advise on how to improve your workout. This virtual trainer can adapt to any age, so it also works for children, teens, and older adults! What else does the future hold for us?

An article called, “Microsoft unveils sensor-laden smart scarf prototype”, talks about Microsoft making a scarf with some cool features. One of the essential features of the scarf was that it can connect with a smart phone and vibrate to produce heat and warmth to the user wearing the scarf. For people who live in a cold area most of the time, this would be a great item to have! The scarf comes in with built-in sensors that could be helpful for people who have disorders such as autism and have troubling handling their feelings. More on the subject is that the company is trying to make the scarf have more new and cool features than it already has. The developers were thinking of creating a cooling system as well as a mp3 player! I find this item useful as it can satisfy little and simple needs like warmth.  smart-scarf

Finally I saw the Lip Dub video that was created by UBC and I have to say, it was really well-put together. Everything looked like it came into place like pieces of a puzzle. The video shows students obviously showing how much they love their school and what it means to them. One of the better video showing how students can work together producing a great effect for the video. From my perspective, the school looks awesome and its a way to promote their school in a positive manner. They definitely put a lot of effort and time into making this video as you see coordinated dances as well as different music throughout the video. Bravo to everyone that were involved in the videoScreen Shot 2017-04-12 at 6.25.50 PM
