After doing the social media portion of the projects for round three I found many things that were interesting that I didn’t know before. I participated in sharing content through the social media of Facebook to try and draw attention to certain posts while gaining likes and followers. I posted articles on three different ideas like the idea of “text neck”, a natural remedy to help regular body functions flow freely, and why student athletes are the best for hiring out of college. “Text neck” was about how students constantly are staring at their phones or computers down on a desk and hurting posture. This post which was reposted from the health and wellness page from SUNY Oswego reached five people but received no likes. Personally I thought this would be the type of post that someone who is always on their would view and maybe change their habits of always looking down. The second post which was taken from a health page about dieting was an article about a super food that you can include to detox your body to help kidney, liver, and pancreas function. This article really interested me because I am currently finishing up classes to complete my nutrition minor. I love how certain foods and the way you can include them in your diet can change things completely in your body for the better. This post only reached two people and I thought this would also be a post that people interested in the nutrition field would go for. The last post was one that was also taken from the health and wellness page from SUNY Oswego talking about how hiring student athletes may benefit your company. I thought with me currently being a student athlete that some other athletes who are following the page would be interested in it. The post only reached two people which was not ideal for the amount of people view the page daily. Overall from this week the page gained one like and reached a total of nine people from the three posts. Some improvements that could have been done is really searching what people are interested in and how to engage them in the posts. I should have taken out what I am personally interested in and looked for what can open up people’s eyes from the front picture or article title.
