Week 5 & 6 Reflection

According to the two articles Why your fitness tracker could be a waste of money. and Fitness tracker and sleep: How accurate are they? states information about how people can sleep with a tracker on there wrist which help them to know what time they sleep, how they where sleeping, during there sleep what happen to them, and also how safe it is for them to put on a fitness tracker during their sleep. However, I think that it is not safe to wear a fitness tracker watch while asleep, because if this fitness tracker were to be charge before putting them one, it might explore and kill many individuals who have them.
My opinion is that, if people should wear fitness trackers, it should only be wore during activity, such as running, jogging, doing yoga, and monitoring what food you take in while eating, and how many pound a person adder while eating. According to the article Fitness trackers and sleep: How accurate are they by Rachael Rattner and Senior Writer indicted that “Popular trackers, such as the Fitbit Force, include a sleep mode that aims to provide users with some insight into their shuteye, such as how long they slept, and how many times they were restless or woke up” and “Fitness trackers’ ability to measure sleep often comes from sensors called accelerometers, which detect a wearer’s motion, along with the speed and direction of that motion”. This quotes states that the fitness are more popular to track the sleep of a person when they are asleep, but it also work for the Fitbit Force that aims to provide users with some insight into their shuteye. Fitness trackers are very useful, but I thick it should be use as sport tracker, not a sleeping tracker because is can be very harmful to the skin.
According to Stephanie her article talks about how many people wear different types of writs watch and what do they use the writs watches for, she said that more than “More than 70 million ‘smart’ wrist bands, chest straps, ankle trackers and sports watches were sold worldwide last year. And the number is only expected to increase”. Also she said that “Researchers tested some of the most popular models, with participants taking part in a number of activities while wearing seven different bands.The results showed the bands could be as much as 40 per cent off the mark when it comes to counting the number of calories burned by the wearer”. this basically means that lot of people find this watches useful to them, because they can keep track of everything they are doing in an easy way.
